I would like to be able to "flag / mark / designate" an interface as a backup interface. So that when the interface is "down or in standby" it is the required state and therefore good, but when it goes active there is problem. The icon could be Blue as apposed to Red. When the interface changes to "up or active" it would let us know that the fail-over worked and that we are in backup situation.
There are some managers who see a red icon and think that there something wrong and it be must be fixed.
